Steve/Bucky, D/s universe

(Anonymous) 2014-12-07 04:14 pm (UTC)(link)
Dom!Steve, Sub!Bucky, alternative universe where people are divided between doms, switchs, neutrals and subs.

After a few disastrous experiences (with either Pierce or Rumlow or both) where he was treated like shit, Bucky is handed over to Steve. Far from being broken by what happened to him (though he does have psychological and physical consequences of what happened to him), Bucky is really angry and ready to lash out at the world, while Steve never had a Sub of his own and doesn't really know how to handle the situation.

Happy ending please.

Steve Rogers, Gen (probably): No One As Irish As Stíofán Mac Ruaidhrí

(Anonymous) 2014-12-08 05:25 am (UTC)(link)
In the real world, there was a bit of a happy kerfuffle when it became known that the current U.S. President has an ancestor who hailed from Moneygall.

One or both of Steve's parents was an immigrant from Ireland, sailing in past Lady Liberty and everything. He actually has living relatives through an aunt/uncle in Ireland and/or other countries. This has been a point of pride in [Irish town] since the connection was discovered. Maybe [Irish town] boosters make a bit of money off of T-shirts.

And then Captain America is found alive--

Wants: A treatment of this theme by someone who actually has firsthand experience of life in Ireland or at least knows someone who does.
DNWs: If Hydra gets involved due to part of the genes that made Steve Steve still being available when he is presumed dead, please don't get graphic about the violence. No harm to children, rape, or depersonalization, please.

I'm Irish and I'm laughing and laughing at how much this would be milked to death by whatever town could lay claim to Steve.

We already have a Captain America's restaurant chain over here. ;)

Hydra drugged Bucky to suppress his sex drive, and now that he's free he's horny all the time

(Anonymous) 2014-12-08 07:13 pm (UTC)(link)
Post-CA:TWS, PWP with feels. TW: A little dub-con, since Bucky's not 100% in his right mind.

Hydra used drugs to eliminate the Winter Soldier's sex drive (as well as control him and keep him mission-focused in other ways). Now that Bucky's free of them and returning to himself, he's going through withdrawal. His sex drive is coming back, and he's insatiably horny *all the time*. It's like his body is trying to make up for years of no orgasms by having them all in a few weeks. It's confusing at first, because he'd forgotten what being aroused feels like and doesn't know what's happening, and later he feels embarrassed about it.

Fortunately he has some help (Steve? Natasha? Both?) getting through it and rediscovering sex. Bucky/Steve, Bucky/Natasha, Steve/Bucky/Natasha, or I wouldn't even mind just a story with Bucky jerking off a lot....

Re: Hydra drugged Bucky to suppress his sex drive, and now that he's free he's horny all the time

(Anonymous) 2014-12-09 11:44 am (UTC)(link)
This could be so adorable. I imagine that Bucky would be really clumsy and adolescent about flirting and everyone would be really tripped out with the world's most terrifying assassin trying to get cute with them. And then of course the way Steve would deal with it.

Seconded hard

Bucky + "Paradise City" by Guns'n'Roses

(Anonymous) 2014-12-10 03:56 pm (UTC)(link)
Lyrics (, with two interesting parts:
"Take me down
To the paradise city
Where the grass is green
And the girls are pretty
Take me home"

"Captain America's been torn apart
Now he's a court jester
with a broken heart
He said-
Turn me around and
take me back to the start
I must be losin' my mind-
"Are you blind?"
I've seen it all a million times"

Go wherever you want with that.

Bucky/Coulson, Soulmate AU, HYDRA protects Phil to save the Winter Soldier

[personal profile] celiaequus 2014-12-12 08:07 am (UTC)(link)
Somehow, HYDRA finds out that Phil's soul-mate is Bucky Barnes (and Phil has always assumed that his soul-mate was already dead, which is why he takes stupid risks). HYDRA knows that the Winter Soldier is Bucky Barnes. In this particular AU, if someone dies, their soul-mate suffers for it, or even dies as well. Which is why HYDRA is so damned set on keeping Phil safe.

It's a HYDRA agent who suggests that Fury bring Phil back to life. There's always a HYDRA agent on any mission with Phil, to protect him. It's part of why Phil got taken in by so many; it's been their mission, on many occasions, to keep him alive, and thus keep their asset sane/alive. He thought they were just being nice.

When HYDRA falls, there are many agents who want to take Phil out, who have no idea who his soul-mate is. Meanwhile, Bucky is on the run trying to 'find himself', hears about this Phil Coulson, and decides to find him instead. All while the top-level HYDRA agents are scrambling to stop the low-level HYDRA agents from ending Phil's life.

Would love to see some of the times a HYDRA agent has gone to ridiculous lengths to keep Phil from coming to harm. And if Bucky and Phil meet in the end, that would be lovely. :D

Steve and Bucky (gen or slash) - "Dear Mister Bucky..."

(Anonymous) 2014-12-14 08:44 am (UTC)(link)
Think this would probably be sometime before Winter Soldier, but you can squeeze it in anywhere along the movies' timeline.

At some point in their schooling, every kid ends up taking a field trip to the graves of the Howling Commandos. Bucky's memorial has always been one of the most popular, arguably even more popular than Captain America's monument now that Steve's, you know, not dead and the monument is kinda inaccurate.

The children make paper flowers and decorate the engraved stone, taping drawings and thank you cards they make themselves to it.

Steve's touched and appreciates it and loves that his friend isn't forgotten in the annals of history, and is dealing with it all pretty well... Until he sees this written on one of the cards/drawings:

Bonus points if there's someone, or many someones, around to witness Steve's reaction.

Soumate'verse. Steve meets his soulmate the morning before his wedding Bucky/Steve

(Anonymous) 2014-12-18 10:03 pm (UTC)(link)
The morning of his wedding to Sharon, Steve buys a cup of coffee for a half-crazed, one-armed homeless vet who turns out to be his soulmate with a muttered; "Thanks a lot, pal. Now fuck off. The coffee can stay."

The Right Partner [FILL]

(Anonymous) 2014-12-23 04:41 am (UTC)(link)
He's stared at the line of text that is nearly scratched over his arm in spidery cursive nearly every night since he turned twelve.

Thanks a lot, pal. Now fuck off. The coffee can stay.

It's not really something one would expect their soulmate to say, especially with something as romanticized as what their first words would be to their intended, written in their hand writing.

Steve has ran his thumb over the letters countless times, wondering and fantasizing endlessly about the person behind the words. Though odd, they bring comfort to him during times of trouble, causing a smile to curl onto his mouth even when his lip is split due to a left hook catching him when he's defending someone in a back alley.

But, as with many people, time goes on and no one mutters those words to him. He eventually gives up hope, pushing back the bitter-sweet feeling every time he offers coffee to someone and they only respond with a polite 'thank you'.

He attempts to enlist into the army out of highschool (rejected, predictably) and gets into an art school near by to help his mom through the worst of her illness.

Steve dates and has fun during his schooling, swallowing down grief when his mother passes a month before his graduation.

He works in a little diner five blocks from his childhood home and eventually meets a pretty blonde who goes by the name Sharon; they hit it off, and for a few years, he convinces himself he's happy (and pushes down guilt when he looks at the words looping over Sharon's stomach Nice weather, I like the rain. and ignores the scratched cursive that twists over his arm).

They've been dating three years when Sharon proposes casually, sitting on the counter and sipping a mug of coffee while he attempts to make breakfast.

"What?" Steve is startled out of his thoughts, the smell of burning eggs not reaching his nose till there's smoke fogging his glasses.

Sharon laughs and slides off the counter, bumping him out of the way with her hip and tossing the pan into the sink to rinse down their ruined breakfast. "I asked if you wanted to get married? We've been dating a while." She shrugs a shoulder.

Steve feels like he should be excited (though they've never said I love you to each other, and all he can think of is "Thanks a lot, pal...") but he gives her a large smile and lets out a slightly breathy laugh. "Sure, why not?"

Months pass in a blur of wedding planning (and it's not going to be large, what with both of their parents not living any more; a few of Sharon's friends will show up while Steve's side will be mostly empty save for Sam). He works at the diner and gives bashful smiles when people notice the engagement band wrapped around Sharon's finger when she comes to visit.

On the morning of the wedding, Steve's stomach is in knots and he knows that he should be getting ready (though all he needs to do is throw on a tux and make sure he doesn't stumble over his vows). He worked the graveyard shift instead of having a bachelor party, much to the dismay of Sam. "I can't have Sharon working so much, I need to pull my own weight; isn't that what marriage is about?"

It's an hour before he gets off when Steve hears the bell to the diner open; only drunks or people getting off of their own late night shifts seem to come in this early, so Steve looks up from the napkin he's doodling on.

The man is hunched over, a black hoodie covering what must be a bulky frame. One sleeve is pinned to his shoulder, and when he walks he doesn't make a sound. He sits in the corner booth that's furthest to the door and seems to scan the entire diner, his eyes falling on Steve who quickly ducks away.

Steve shakes his head, wondering why he's being foolish and snatche a menu from the stack, quickly going to the man who's still staring.

He attempts for a friendly smile, but the corners of the man's mouth pull down by a few centimeters (Steve has to look away, because although the man doesn't seem too happy to see him, he's still attractive...the thought sends a jolt of shame through Steve's stomach).

He sets the menu down without a word and scurries back to behind the counter, keeping an eye on the man. Steve watches as he glances at the menu before sliding it away in order to gaze out the window.

Steve bites the inside of his cheek and quickly grabs a coffee cup, filling it with freshly made coffee and snatching a few cream containers. He moves to the man's booth, slightly annoyed that no word of thanks leaves the man's mouth as he continues to stare out the window.

He stands beside the table, unsure why he was waiting. There's a pregnant pause that bubbles between the two before the man cuts his eyes to Steve, brows furrowed in a mixture of annoyance and confusion. "Thanks a lot, pal. Now fuck off. The coffee can stay."

Steve feels the breath being knocked from his lungs, eyes going wide as the words he's tried so hard to forget practically burn on his arm. "I-I'm just trying to be friendly, jerk." He snaps breathlessly, taking a step back but watching as the man's eyes widen and his hand instinctively go for his missing arm.

The man turns fully to him, half standing and knocking the coffee so that a few drops splash over the already stained table top. "...what did you say to me?"

Steve feels lightheaded, and he wonders if he's going to throw himself into an asthma attack; he holds onto a table that he's backed up against for support. "I said that I was just trying to be nice." He wants to cry, to laugh, to shout to the heavens that he's found his other half! but the man is staring at him like he's seen a ghost, color draining from his face as he sits back down, hand clutching at the empty sleeve.

The door opens, the bell slamming against glass as Steve's co-worker Peter stumbles in. He yawns a greeting to Steve, not noticing the charged atmosphere between the only other two people in the diner.

The man isn't looking at Steve, instead he's staring blankly at the spilled coffee. "Yo Steve," Peter says, wrenching him out of his thoughts and into the present. "Don't you have a wedding to get to?"

The teenager is staring at him in confusion, and as Steve makes his way to collect his things and leave, he can feel another set of eyes on him.

He doesn't offer a glance to the man sitting in the corner booth.

Bucky/Steve: Steve draws Bucky in a compromising position

(Anonymous) 2014-12-19 02:11 am (UTC)(link)
Steve ties Buck up with a plug in his ass, then leaves him there so he can draw him in great detail. Bucky gets pretty desperate and begs Steve to come back over there and fuck him, but Steve waits a good long while to give in.

Bonus points for Skinny!Steve either pre-serum or some sort of AU.

Steve/Sam, misaimed protective Bucky, warning: perceived noncon, past noncon

(Anonymous) 2014-12-21 12:16 am (UTC)(link)
Sam and Steve are together and they (plus Natasha, Clint, whoever) have retrieved Bucky and he seems to be doing a lot better.

The problem is that some part of him can't break out of a pretty rigid code of hierarchy, and he can't stop seeing Steve as A Superior Officer. It makes it really difficult for Steve to be his friend, because Bucky defaults to just nodding along to whatever Steve wants.

On the bright side, he gets along GREAT with Sam. No confusing/contradicting memories, easier to accept as an equal, super laid back.

Steve feels the sting of this, but figures it's not a HUGE deal, it's early days yet, and in the meantime his two best guys are BFFs. He can cope, especially since Sam is clearly good for Bucky. Sam, likewise, feels bad for Steve, but genuinely likes Bucky and knows Steve wouldn't want him to NOT be friends with him.

Then Bucky gets Steve alone and begs that he please leave Sam alone; he can sleep with Bucky instead if he'll just let Sam be. Cue extreme emotional fallout for all three.

*Bonus if Sam is actually topping in whatever sexual activity Bucky's picked up on; Bucky's assumption comes from what he thinks their ranks are, not their positions in bed.
*Bonus if Bucky wasn't ever assaulted in Hydra, but he did see less volatile assets abused that way, which is another place the assumption is coming from.
*Bonus if Bucky feels he's been a pretty big person not just in the offer but in that he tried to bargain about this instead of just killing Steve. Why are your feelings hurt when I just proved how much I value your existence?

Steve/Peggy, skinny!Steve, dominant Peggy

(Anonymous) 2014-12-22 03:22 am (UTC)(link)
Peggy tops the hell out of pre-serum Steve and they both enjoy it very much. Bonus points for military or uniform kink.

Steve/Bucky - Overprotective Steve, Observant Bucky

(Anonymous) 2014-12-23 10:57 am (UTC)(link)
So everyone knows Bucky was Steve's best friend and always dragged Steve's ass out if trouble when Steve was a 90 pound asthmatic. Naturally, everyone assumed that Bucky's the protective one. And Captain America charging into enemy territory to save his best friend is a sign of Steve's undying loyalty, right?

Except for how Bucky always followed Steve and learned to anticipate what Steve needed him to do (be it finishing a fight, dive into the jaws of death, or sniping his captain's enemies) and Steve will do anything to keep Bucky by his side, even if it means facing off with a colonel, HYDRA, or the entire United States' intelligence community by his lonesome.

So cue post-Winter Soldier and everyone has preconceived notions about their dynamic, then suddenly they're confronted with the world's deadliest assassin following Captain America like a loyal service puppy, all desperate to please, and Steve Rogers is making all sorts of waves to keep anyone from getting close to what he considers his.

Bonus: when Steve said he's not gonna stop until all of HYDRA is dead or captured, he meant it. And there's no expiration date in that vow.

Bonus bonus: Steve takes being the first Avenger very seriously. *title drops*

Bonus p.s.: Bucky learns to anticipate what Steve's friends' needs are and proceeds to fulfill them as much as he is able. Said friends are both in awe and mildly disturbed that they're being motherhenned by the Winter Soldier.

Comics-616, Gen or Bucky/Any, Bucky the Vampire Slayer

(Anonymous) 2014-12-24 09:21 pm (UTC)(link)
616 AU set during World War II, so Bucky is a teenage ninja in short-shorts, but his combat training in this AU focused on fighting the products of Nazi Occult Weirdness and other creatures of the night. Crossovers with other Weird War II-type canons are also welcome.

Steve&Bucky - possibly dark!Steve, Good men can still do bad things for good reasons.

(Anonymous) 2014-12-27 09:39 am (UTC)(link)
Steve was the first Avenger. He was the namesake. Avenger. Look it up.

There's a reason it wan't called the 'Defender's Intiative.'

(OR: Steve was a good man, but he was also a vicious little bastard who didn't mind getting his hands dirty and really wasn't nice to the people he decided were his enemy. The modern era's going to learn this the hard way.

(They should also remember that he earned this title the last time Bucky had been taken from him and hurt, and he responded by bashing heads in with a blunt object and occasionally snapping necks with the force of his blows.))

Re: Steve&Bucky - possibly dark!Steve, Good men can still do bad things for good reasons.

Steve/Any, fun with Steve's chest

(Anonymous) 2014-12-29 02:56 am (UTC)(link)
Post-serum Steve/any heroic character (my personal favorites are Peggy, Bucky, Sam, and Natasha, poly ships are also good) with lots of emphasis on Steve's gorgeous rack. Specific kinks (and how porny it gets) are up to the author - body worship, nipple play, dress him up in tight tshirts or frilly lingerie, etc. - if it's Safe Sane and Consensual and gives Cap's patriotic pecs some love, it's great.

Steve/Bucky, d/s relationship, therapeutic kink

(Anonymous) 2014-12-31 06:14 pm (UTC)(link)
Post Winter Soldier, Bucky finds it tiring, difficult and sometimes downright triggering to make requests and decisions. This is particularly a problem during sex; obviously Steve wants to constantly check in with him and gives him options and opportunities to withdraw consent, but it makes Bucky panicky because if he makes too many demands he feels like he's being disobedient and is going to get punished.

Cue 24/7 dom/sub relationship. Steve doms Bucky in the bedroom and gives him occasional orders throughout the day, even if it's just something as simple as 'fetch me a cup of coffee,' to keep him grounded. And feeling that Steve is ultimately in control makes Bucky feel safer in saying and doing what he wants with everyone else.

Of course Steve is super-attentive, pays close attention to how various orders make Bucky feel and discusses his limits and preferences with him when he's having a good day, so that he can dom Bucky in a way that will keep him safe and happy.

Bonus: Steve 'punishing' Bucky when Bucky's scared he's done something wrong, because if he goes unpunished he'll feel the threat of it hanging over him and get panicked.

(Anonymous) 2015-01-02 10:30 am (UTC)(link)
Ooh yes yes yes.

Pre CA:TFA - Defending Bucky's honor (internalized and period specific homophobia)

(Anonymous) 2015-01-03 07:36 am (UTC)(link)
Pre CA:TFA, The local roughnecks are saying some pretty dirty things about Bucky Barnes, like maybe he doesn't like girls as much as he pretends to. Maybe James Barnes is (some period appropriate homophobic term) Steve won't allow anyone to slander his friend like that, so he starts fighting them to protect Buck's honor.

This goes on for a while with Bucky confused about why Steve keeps coming home bruised and bloody, until one day he pulls Steve out of a fight and figures out what they have been about. He then angrily tells Steve he can stop fighting because the rumors are true.

Go where you want from there, but I'd personally like Steve coming to terms with having the same feelings and a happy Steve/Bucky ending.

Optional Bonus:
+Steve has always know he himself was "that way" but just assumed it was another sickness like his asthma.
++Bucky has his own internal homophobia to battle, and worries about protecting Steve from the "sickness". Which is why Bucky deals with his impulses with other people.

Steve/Bucky, Bucky's survival is the result of Steve's wish

(Anonymous) 2015-01-09 11:17 pm (UTC)(link)
In the thirties Bucky took Steve to Coney Island, where Steve accidentally walked into a fortune-teller's tent. The fortune-teller sold him a single wish in exchange for a favour. Steve, foolishly, voices the thought he wants Bucky to be at his side for as long as he, Steve, lives.

Here's the funny thing: Zola's serum was good, but Bucky fell 300 feet onto jagged rocks.

In 2015 the fortune teller comes collecting their favour.

Rumlow/Steve - Redemption

[personal profile] laidbacktionist 2015-01-10 02:39 am (UTC)(link)
(Cross posted from Avengers kink)

This may be cliched but I'd love a fic in which Rumlow slowly came to realize that he's starting to actually care about Steve and that interferes with his mission.

Maybe this is an AU in which he was roped/dragged into HYDRA without meaning to, and now he wants out. The problem is getting out of HYDRA is not going to be easy.

Will he tell Steve? Or will he try to get out on his own and then pretend nothing happened? Maybe he tells Steve thinking that Steve would be done with him for good, only to find that Steve is still there for him and will help him out.

In other words OP just wants a fic with a happy ending for these two ;w;

Steve thinks he's a good solider

(Anonymous) 2015-01-11 02:38 am (UTC)(link)
I just want something that reflects the fact that Steve doesn't think of himself as a rule breaker or not following authority, he thinks he does! It's just that he follows his own ideas and moral code (and loyalty to his friends and loved ones) over any ridged set of rules but overall he thinks of himself as a rule follower even though he isn't. So I would just love for his inner thoughts to reflect that at least once.

Steve has trouble eating, TW eating disorder

(Anonymous) 2015-01-11 02:53 am (UTC)(link)
When Steve was small and sick not only didn't he have much to eat he could not eat much. He constantly had to fight to keep food down and he often didn't want to eat because of nausea, loss of appetite and fear that he would be sick. This fear didn't go away just because he's now a healthy super Soilder with a super metabolism he knows he can and needs to eat more but the very thought of all that food still makes his stomach turn. Things get even worse after he's defrosted.

Steve/Bucky, unrequited love, Steve marries someone else

(Anonymous) 2015-01-11 02:43 pm (UTC)(link)
Steve is getting married to someone else, and being completely oblivious to Bucky's feelings, asks him to be the best man. Cue a lot of angsty, pining!Bucky, who has been in love with Steve for ages, forcing himself to keep a stiff upper lip throughout the whole thing. Like, not just the actual wedding, but the planning to: helping Steve pick out and fit his suit, calming him down whenever he stresses himself out, working out the honeymoon accommodations/details, running all over town to finalize misc arrangements, having to get himself drunk to be able to write the best man speech, etc. I just want Bucky totally heartbroken and fucked up over it, but unable to do anything about it. Steve can't find out, especially now that he's getting married, and the least Bucky can do for him is make sure his wedding goes well.

Steve + Bucky - intense friendship. tw: brief mention of perceived homophobia

Steve and Bucky have a very intense and clearly very deep friendship, and everyone thinks they are together.

One day, someone takes them aside and gently explains that it's ok now, they don't have to hide anymore.

Bucky and Steve are *horrified* by the suggestion - not because they are homophobic douchecanoes, but because they literally regard each other as brothers. They are family,.
