Fill: Knot Likely (14/??)
(Anonymous) 2016-11-06 11:53 am (UTC)(link)It, being seeing a doctor that specializes in omega physiology that is also equipped to deal with all the extra bells and whistles of the super serum. If it was a few weeks ago it would've been an easy task. However, seeing as his last doctor turned out to also be working for HYDRA on the sly (for real, full on dodgy just this side of unethical medical practices and ain't that just a kick to the teeth to find out) he probably needs to find a new primary care physician.
He allows himself to inanely wonder if his insurance is even good anymore seeing as the collapse of SHIELD probably also led them to defaulting on insurance policies for all their employees.
He sighs, god the last few months have just made him so damn tired. The only real upside to the wild frenetic pace of the last few months trying (and failing) to catch up to Bucky is that he's mostly been off the grid. Which in turn meant that he got to miss most of the initial fallout of his omega status finally going public (though the prolonged disappearance means that the media is practically frothing at the mouth for a piece of him).
He thumbs through his contacts and sighs again, well, better get it over with.
His gets picked up approximately partway through the first ring.
“Ah, glad you finally decided to call, I was starting to think you had completely forgotten about me.” Tony's pout is almost audible.
“Hey, uh, I was wondering if you knew if Bruce is in the country right now -”
“Oh I see how it is. You're breaking my delicate little heart here Steve-o – all that drama, all those months of radio silence – I thought we had something special, I thought I was definitely your second favorite, but it looks like Banner has supplanted me.”
“Look, I'm sorry, how've you been?” Steve mostly decides to humor him because he's pleasantly surprised by the fact that Tony hasn't pestered him about his newly released designation yet.
“Oh you know, same old, busy busy busy it's hard being as incredible as I am but I manage somehow,” he pauses, “though I gotta say as far as earth shattering revelations since the last time we spoke I think you have me beat here. I think you may have broken the internet, not to mention completely shake the foundations of American pop culture. Honestly I'd be totally jealous if the entire shitstorm surrounding your omega revelation wasn't so toxic.”
And there it is. Steve's been sighing a lot lately.
“Surprise?” Steve's delivery was equal parts dry, flat, and resigned.
Tony let out a bark of laughter, “well yes, color me shocked, look at some many hidden depths; what else have you been hiding? Got any secret love children – I can hear the gasps already -”
“Is Bruce in or not?” Tony would go on indefinitely if you gave him the chance.
“Alright, alright, I see how it is – but I'm expecting you to swing by, it's been forever. And hey, now that you definitely aren't working for SHIELD anymore you totally have the time to do it -”
“Tony.”
“Yeah, yeah I'll patch you through. Geez, I'm so unappreciated.”
Re: Fill: Knot Likely (14/??)
I love how you're bringing Tony and Bruce in to the story. I adore Tony (especially Downey's version) and it'll be so cool to see more of the other characters interact with each other.
Plus who else could Steve trust with his omeganess but a scientist who studied him and the serum and tried to recreate it (even if it got botched) and a billionaire genius playboy who would love to help out Steve and be able to keep the press off his back if needed.
Can't wait to see what happens next! :)

(Anonymous) 2018-01-17 02:36 am (UTC)(link)Anyways just wondering if you're going to continue this? I'm kinda worried because you've been doing awesome work so far but it's also been a year since the last update.
I'm hoping you do continue though.
