Bucky/Steve - Kinda soul mate/reincarnation AU

It always starts the same. First come the dreams, then the memories. Then, the compulsion to find the other. And when they're found, it's good, so good it feels like another dream. But it always ends the same, too.

With Bucky cradling Steve's lifeless body.

Each time, Bucky tries to stay away, certain that even if Steve may not be better off without him, at the very least he would be alive. Steve always finds him, though, unable and unwilling to resist whatever this is that binds them together.

...But this time, something went wrong. This time, they didn't die. They didn't get to start over.


[OR, that one where Steve and Bucky are bound together and reincarnated (either through out time or across universes (other Evans/Stan movies?)) over and over again. And Steve's current friends are kind of worried about his obsession with his long lost pal.]
