Post-Cap 2 de-serumed Steve. Post-Winter Soldier Bucky who's been recovering scraps of pre-war memories since he got away from Hydra (older memories seem to be better protected against ECT-induced memory loss than more recent ones) that he can't really make sense of, but fun-size Steve appears in a lot of them, and Bucky knows he's important. Bucky moves in with Steve and they have weird but cute roommate adventures as Bucky slowly rebuilds his sense of self and learns how to function like a person rather than a human weapon. Bonus points for protectiveness (by either guy) or Bucky who's still figuring out this whole "affection" thing and tries to find some kind of practical rationale for his affectionate impulses. (Cuddling someone for the heck of it makes no sense. Bucky's just worried about Steve getting cold, honest.)

I'm not looking for smut, especially considering Bucky's mental state, but cuddling would be great. Gotta love those brutally efficient cyborg supersoldier snuggles.
