Steve, unsedated surgery, hallucinations and emotional support

(Anonymous) 2014-06-27 08:04 pm (UTC)(link)
Due to the serum Steve cannot be properly sedated and during surgery is awake and in pain, paramedics or doctors having to rely on his internal restraint or external ones to let them do their job and neither hurt them or himself. Everything about it is complicating things and distressing for everyone involved.

During one such incident he has a very imminent or already happening freakout and a doctor or nurse bravely tries to calm him down, and Steve quasi-hallucinates her to be his mother -- being in a lot of pain and sick and tended by Mama Rogers, professional nurse, is, after all, intimately familiar and deeply ingrained -- and thus complies with her directions and comforting. It makes the treatment easier, safer, and less stressful for both patient and medical personnel.

After that, it's made a recommendation for heavy medical procedures to: a) have a person/nurse (or friend) to be his focus and support whose job is to talk and comfort him though it (which is better than soldiering through alone), and b) have someone to roughly resemble Sarah Rogers, especially for the hard stuff, but may be also subconciously effective for when he's lucid.

You could do a single or (ofc hopefully) a series; stuff like the first instance, or one down the line when an unsuspecting blonde nurse is ordered off to the ER, in the field or in hospital, with Shield or Stike team or Sam or Avengers or bystanders as witnesses or stand-ins or organizers.

Steve/Bucky Bonnie and Clyde AU

(Anonymous) 2014-06-27 08:04 pm (UTC)(link)
pretty much what it says on the tin; I'm just looking for an AU baised around the History Channel movie/miniseries 'Bonnie and Clyde' (obviously pull things from rl too).

Bucky as Clyde and Steve as Bonnie (either both males, fem!Steve, up to the author).

Steve/Bucky Dom!Bucky

(Anonymous) 2014-06-29 12:41 pm (UTC)(link)
I've seen a lot of prompts where Bucky needs desperately to submit as a means of clearing his mind and letting go of control for a little while, but I'd love to see that explored in reverse too. Whether Steve & Bucky had a BDSM relationship before or not, it'd be interesting to see Bucky as the one In Charge of this one important thing- his and Steve's pleasure. After being so dehumanized by Hydra it'd be a way for him to regain autonomy and see that he's still capable of self-control; pushing Steve far enough but not too far.

And Steve would be an awesomely kinky sub too. Not alpha/omega please.

Steve/Bucky castrated!Bucky

(Anonymous) 2014-06-29 12:43 pm (UTC)(link)
To better control the Asset, Hydra gelded him. After his rescue he's horribly ashamed and grieved that he can't be Steve's lover anymore. Until Steve tells him that he'd never want anyone else, no matter what and they discover all the things they can still do together in bed.

BTW, in the Renaissance castrati who were cut after puberty were often considered the best lovers. Something to ponder.

Steve and movies

(Anonymous) 2014-06-30 03:23 pm (UTC)(link)
I was thinking about how much movies were a cultural thing during WWII and how twice in First Avenger it shows Steve at the theater. I also am a huge movie buff myself, and love movies about movies (like Inglorious Basterds, be Kind Rewind, Singin in the Rain, Sunset Boulevard).

I want to know about Steve and his experiences with cinema. The escapism pre war, seeing himself on screen for the first time, fond memories of people he saw movies with, his favorite film. Maybe a 5+1? Some sexy times involved might be nice too.

Steve/Natasha dark attempted noncon

(Anonymous) 2014-06-30 03:51 pm (UTC)(link)
Reposted from hydratrashmeme, I saw it there and I don't think it's going to get filled.

I really want Steve hatefucking someone. Either Natasha or Bucky. In a way that the other partner is into it, but Steve is so mad that he's kind of hoping to hurt them, to punish them. (Maybe like that scene in TWS at the hospital when he finds her with the USB and shoves her into that other room to interrogate her about it.). Steve's so mad she was withholding information, and Natasha had always secretly hoped she'd get a chance to have sex with him, particularly really rough sex. Maybe her receptiveness makes him more angry.

I don't know why I have a thing for secret asshole Steve. :-/

Comment reply: gOD YES I am so here for...my (br)otp...hatefucking? Cus in that scene when he tells her "I'm not gonna ask you again" I'm always thinking "okay well then what the fuck ARE you gonna do?" NOW WE HAVE A PLAUSIBLE ANSWER.

Sam/Riley, Riley lives!

(Anonymous) 2014-07-01 07:56 am (UTC)(link)
I don't care how it happens, but I just need some Sam/Riley, alive and happy in the movie-verse. Maybe Riley was hit but Sam caught him, and they left with an Honorable Discharge due to injuries? I need 'you almost died!' love confessions, or just them being adorable together and Sam has someone to back him up against Steve's trolling on morning runs.

Anything, really, just Riley being alive and happily together with Sam.

Bucky/Steve, h/c, medical care.

(Anonymous) 2014-07-01 03:22 pm (UTC)(link)
During a fight with the Big Bad Evil Dude of the Week (tm), HYDRA makes an attempt on Steve. Figuring that neutralizing the Serum (even temporarily) will let nature take it's course and the medical trainwreck that was pre-serum Steve will die.

Except, Steve doesn't get hit with the dart/ray/poisoned blade. Bucky gets hit instead. And as it turns out, without his own version of the Serum, Bucky's even more of wreck. His body starts shutting down, rejecting the arm, and generally driving Steve crazy with worry and wondering if this is what Bucky went through every time Steve got sick in the 30's.

Up to the Author if there's a happy ending or not.

Tony/Steve, possible Bucky/Steve

(Anonymous) 2014-07-02 10:04 am (UTC)(link)
So, I have seen and thought of this question before: "Where was Tony when Shield needed him?" - Because clearly Tony Stark would have hacked his way through Hydra.

Someone please give me a lovers quarrel between Steve a Tony - some missunderstanding, or misscommunication, and Tony making a hissy fit so noone would bother him. Even hole himself up somewhere far away.
And then CATWS happens - ending up with Steve in hopsital, and Bucky more-or-less stalking Steve.

Bonus for Bucky being in love with Steve
Endplay (Tony/Steve, Bucky/Steve or these two at the same time) is up to author!nonnie

Dom!Bucky[The Winter Soldier]/Steve/Simmons, dubcon, omegasverse

(Anonymous) 2014-07-02 04:16 pm (UTC)(link)
The goal here is to combine A/B/O with the dreams tropes in some way. [Alpha!Bucky/Beta!Steve/Omega!Simmons]

The Winter Soldier doesn’t understand why he has begun to dream of the man from the bridge badly beaten and laid up in a hospital bed or of a woman asleep inside of a strange hyperbaric chamber of some sort. The dreams unsettle him in ways he has yet to understand. It isn’t until he remembers who he was that he starts realizing what the dreams mean. They need him.

Bucky becomes obsessed with retrieving his Beta and his Omega. He goes to great lengths to retrieve the two of them. It is his sole mission, and no one will stand in his way.

Do as you see fit! Thanks!

Ooh! Never considered this threesome, but I'm suddenly intrigued.

Seconded!

Steve/Bucky - Steve recognized his eyes.

(Anonymous) 2014-07-05 03:08 am (UTC)(link)
I never knew his eyes were so blue.

I was born color blind, my whole life was nothing but shades of gray. I never knew what color his eyes were, not until after I got him out of that Hydra lab.

When we got out of there, I clung to him. I couldn't let him out of my sight, while we were stumbling through the dark woods. Once we were far enough into the forest, we all made camp and me and Bucky just passed out under a tree.

When I woke up in the morning, I was facing Bucky and he opened his eyes, and they were so blue. Ever since the serum, I had been looking for all the colors I could find, wanting to see everything. But I had never seen a shade of blue like that before.

I've never been able to get those eyes out of my head.

Can be during CA:THS or an AU where Steve meets the masked Winter Soldier before then.

Different take on Kidfic, x-over with X-men, post WS

(Anonymous) 2014-07-05 05:13 am (UTC)(link)
So how about a fic where one of Bucky's great grand nieces or nephews is a mutant. And the kid has a highly unique power or just a very destructive one, so a bunch of different people are after this kid and here's a post-WS Bucky, maybe working together with Steve and Sam, trying to protect this kid who's family, who's a kid and has all these awful people after them to try and make them into a weapon.

Bucky has an opinion about that sort of thing, I'm sure you'd agree.

Having just gotten my first, uh, below-the-belt piercing today, it's pretty awesome. Upon telling my best friend about it tonight, he was shocked because he said I seem too clean cut for something like that. This made me think about characters who might scandalize their friends similarly...

Tl;dr: Steve gets a genital piercing, someone else finds out. (Maybe he eventually does go out with Lillian from accounting and learns about how awesome piercings are, and puts that knowledge to use later? I don't know.)

Steve/Bucky hiding their relationship (tw:homophobia i guess)

(Anonymous) 2014-07-10 08:15 am (UTC)(link)
So I always see stuff about how Steve and Bucky were together during the war and its usually implied or explicitly said that the Commandos were okay with this, but can I get something where Steve and Bucky were so afraid of the consequences that they hid the fact that they were together so well that NOBODY ever knew.

Canonically Steve and Bucky lived in a pretty gay neigborhood in Brooklyn, but they would also see a lot of raids on the bars/places near them, so maybe they hid back then, too. Like, Bucky fake-dated girls (bonus points for them double dating with a lesbian couple??) and Steve was all skinny so he didn't really worry about that, but they hid their relationship VERY WELL both before and during the war.

Fast forward to post-TWS where both of them know that things are at least a little different now, but they still don't come out even to the Avengers. Maybe both accept the dates Natasha/others set them up with, and don't really act more than friendly in public.

Whether or not the Avengers ever actually find out is up to you, just give me all the Steve and Bucky secretly in love.

Re: Steve/Bucky hiding their relationship (tw:homophobia i guess)

(Anonymous) 2014-07-10 02:50 pm (UTC)(link)
I've always found it unrealistic that even in the 40s, no matter their upbringing and social norms etc, all the good guys would be 0% uncomfortable with a gay couple around.

So yeah, seconded like hell.

Steve/Bucky, Steve loses his temper

(Anonymous) 2014-07-10 07:35 pm (UTC)(link)
Every fic post TWS seems to have endlessly patient!Steve nursing Bucky back to health, supporting him, keeping his pain and frustration hidden or shown only to Sam or Natasha. Which is fine. Steve is the best of all possible guys and he'd never deliberately hurt someone but come one people. He's still freakin' human! Skinny Steve lost his temper with Bucky loads of times, and it can't be easy for him. Its never easy dealing with a loved one in any kind of chronic pain.

So can I get Steve just blowing his top at Bucky, post TWS, with real emotions coming out over something minority irritating (like they do)? And then cooling off and apologizing, but with Bucky being kind of ok with it because at least Steve's not handling him with kid gloves and its closer to their old dynamic?

Steve/Bucky One-sided Relationship

(Anonymous) 2014-07-11 09:17 pm (UTC)(link)
Bucky, still very much the Winter Soldier and knee deep in PTSD, confesses to Steve that he's fallen in love with him. He admits this fully expecting to be rejected, and is pretty miserable. Steve is startled at the admission, for he's never thought of Bucky in that way, never really had any (conscious) interest in men before, and didn't think Bucky was interested in men either. He doesn't want to lie, but Bucky looks so sad and has been through so much, Steve cannot bring himself to reject him. Bucky's just confused, he reasons, latching on to the first person to show him kindness, and eventually Bucky will realize that and the relationship will run its course. In the meantime, Steve wants Bucky to be happy, and if being in a romantic relationship with Steve will make Bucky happy, then Steve will do anything to make it work, even if he has to pretend. And it helps. Little by little, Bucky starts getting better, a little happier, a little more like his old self. But he also starts wanting more intimacy, and it gets harder and harder to maintain the illusion.

Bonus:
As the relationship progresses, Steve does fall in love with Bucky, but he's too oblivious to realize it, and feels like he's taking advantage of Bucky in some way.

Steve, Hydra/Shield manipulation, gaslighting, medical experimentation; h/c

(Anonymous) 2014-07-12 03:45 pm (UTC)(link)
Hydra and immoral Shield employees and both their unwitting pawns covertly screwing over Steve for purposes of experimenting on resident supersoldier (medical/psych/behavioral), steering events, and also possibly for plain lulz while they're at it.
His home is already bugged, why stop there? Adding drugs into his home's water supply, his food, his mission rations, having him get injured on mission so the medics have an excuse to poke around, collecting samples, trying to psychologically and chemically exacerbate his depression or otherwise influence him, dunno, put a sender in his home with a pitch he receives but can't conciously hear to keep him stressed or sleep-deprived on demand. Gaslighting everywhere.
It also would be interesting to see the post-CATWS aftermath / discovery of this, when Steve and/or friends figure it (and its extent) all out, and deal with the consequences.

Steve/Bucky, Howling Commandos in 21st Century

(Anonymous) 2014-07-12 09:55 pm (UTC)(link)
The Howling Commandos turn up in the 21st century and help Steve find their friend. OP would prefer if they knew about the Steve/Bucky relationship beforehand, so Steve has a group of people he can vent to and who can help him.

SECONDING LIKE WHOA.

Could you imagine all of them in the 21st century though? They would be exploring how different it's become (well, assuming they're all dead before 21st rolled around); using their statuses as 'old men' to get away with things and helping out their friends because no matter what Bucky's done, he's still a Commando.

Steve/Peggy/Bucky - Bucky thinks that Steve has changed ...

(Anonymous) 2014-07-13 01:16 pm (UTC)(link)
Bucky isn't okay with Steve becoming Captain America. He thinks that his friends has changed and resent him for it. Steve has of course noticed and is extremely hurt by it but doesn't want to confront Bucky about it because he also kind of believe that he's changed. On the surface, they both act like they're still best friends and the Howling Commandos and the others soldier don't notice anything. But things are tense between them, and they're pretty much both miserable.

Peggy who see Steve more than most, notices that there is something wrong between the two and quickly realizes what the problem is. She's pretty annoyed at them both.
Bucky because he's too caught up being jealous to figure out that Steve is still the same and Steve because he's too afraid to fight for the friendship he has with the man he's so obviously in love with.
She knocks some sense into them, and it end up in Steve/Peggy/Bucky.

Sam/Steve - Heat

(Anonymous) 2014-07-19 09:09 pm (UTC)(link)
Sam and Steve are married and visiting Sam's folks and it happens to be one of the hottest summers ever. Even though Steve can endure heat and much prefers it to cold, for obvious reasons, even he's had about enough because Sam's parents are hosting not only him and Steve, but brothers and sisters and cousins and nephews and etc. Steve's got Bucky on his mind and the heat is driving him crazy. Sam is also being driven crazy by the heat and family and noise and activity (and a relative who just doesn't buy that Steve is *that* good). Lot's arguments over silly things ensue with make up sex during uncomfortable hot nights (so uncomfortable that one of them says 'please can we just have ice cream instead of sex?).

Stev/Bucky MusicAU

(Anonymous) 2014-07-19 09:46 pm (UTC)(link)
Bucky is an ex rock/blues guitarist who quit his band after a motorbike crash lost him his arm. Now he's a recluse who writes songs and sometimes sings anonymously in smoky bars where no one will recognize him. One night a stranger sketches his mournful performance on a napkin and disappears. Bucky keeps the napkin, coming back again and again hoping to meet him, finally meeting Steve.

Steve is a cartoonist who's quit his job and is looking for inspiration, brought to a bar by his best friend Sam. While Sam is giving him a pep talk, Steve is completely distracted by the figure under a single spotlight, head hanging, hair obscuring his face as he sings inside a smoky halo. Steve goes home and paints dozens of versions of that single image, until he feels the need to visit the bar again.

Romance ensues.

While Frank Sinatra sings 'Stormy Weather' [fill; skinny!steve]

(Anonymous) 2014-07-20 05:13 am (UTC)(link)
The strings of the bass thud in time with his heart as he checks the sound a few more times, getting lost in the practice of it. It's a little too smoky in this particular bar, but Bucky can't find it within himself to complain; after all, the grimy yellow spot lifts reflecting off the smoke provides anonymity that can't be found in a sold out arena.

The bar is barely full, the regulars sitting in their preferred seats and the few brave souls seeking a new watering hole in a dive bar look as if they don't know what to do with themselves.

Bucky slides up onto the barstool that sits on he shabby boards that pass for a stage and takes in a deep breath; his fingers (though technically they're not flesh and blood, therefor not really HIS) rest easily on top of he bass strings. He plays a few chords and begins, eyes lowered, allowing him to drift off to a place that's his own.

He goes through his set, chest feeling significantly lighter with each song until there isn't the constant crushing guilt that seems to always weigh on his heart ever since the accident. "I'll be taking a quick break, ladies and gentleman." He says a few songs later, mouth perking into a small smile when someone whistles low.

He moves up to the bar, gently elbowing past a few regulars who give him small nods of approval; Bucky raises a finger and takes the offered glass of water with a content sigh.

Leaning against the bar, he lets his eyes trail over the crowd assembled for the night; a few women give him coy smiles over the rim of their glasses, and he knows that if he wanted to, he could have his pick; it's the same knowledge that knows he won't.

Taking another slow sip of his water, Bucky's eyes trail over the tops of the patrons' heads until his gaze skitters to a stop when it meets a pair of the bluest eyes he's ever seen.

Blue eyes flicker away from his gaze, the moment cut short and throwing Bucky back to reality. He needs to finish his set, but there's a niggling feeling at the back of his head like he's missed something.

He returns to the stage, and the smoke and lights is just blinding enough that the thought of searching out blue eyes leaves his mind.

An hour later Bucky finds himself coerced into having a drink with his roommate Natasha; he places their drinks onto the small booth's scratched table top with a small sigh, slinging his bass on he bench beside him. He notices something in Natasha's hand, and a small smirk flirts with the corner of her mouth. "What's got you so cheery?" He asks, nursing his dark beer while he flexes his metal hand, the machinery humming at being used for so long.

"I think you have yourself a fan." She hums, sliding the paper ( and on closer inspection, Bucky finds it's actually a napkin) over the top of the table. Bucky takes it in his flesh hand, gaze scanning the surface for a second before it really registers.

It's a pretty detailed sketch, considering the paper used; it's of him on stage, the background shaded just so that he can still smell the smoke. A small grin quirks one corner of his mouth in he sketch, eyes peering out from behind a curtain of hair; his hands are unfinished, and his legs are rough lines to indicate where they should go, but Bucky finds that he needs to keep this drawing, no matter if it's a selfish thought.

"Who do you think drew this?" He asks breathlessly, eyes still tracing the details on the napkin. Natasha shrugs, swirling her beer with a thoughtful look on her face. "Like I said, you must have a fan."
